The History of Baldi's Basics
Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning is a surreal, meta horror game that parodies edutainment games from the 1990s. Initially created as a joke for Meta Game Jam 2018, it quickly gained popularity for its unique blend of nostalgia, unsettling atmosphere, and intentionally poor graphics.
The game puts players in the role of a student who must collect seven notebooks. Each notebook requires solving increasingly difficult math problems, while avoiding Baldi and other quirky characters who roam the school. The intentionally low-quality graphics and strange sound design add to the game's unsettling and humorous nature.
